While the Ballarat Eureka Strikers is a new entity, it is actually a continuation of a long history of elite female football in the Ballarat region.

The Eureka Strikers went the 2015 season undefeated, winning the State League 1 Championship.

The squad blends youth with experience, providing opportunities for the best talent in the region to develop in a supportive environment.

The Club offers a Senior and Development team which currently competes in State League 1.
The Senior & Development teams practice each Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Morshead Park. Tuesday’s training occurs on Synthetic Pitch 1 at Morshead Park, while Thursday training alternates between Synthetic Pitch 2 and the Stadium Pitch. All games are played on a Sunday and alternative between home and away games.

Coaches Profiles

Senior Head Coach – Laura Brady

Laura Brady

Originally from Ireland, Laura Brady was a player with the Ballarat squad before she started coaching the development squad in 2011 after tearing her ACL.

She took a break from coaching during the 2014 season, and travelled to the World Cup in Brazil, before returning to coaching at the start of the 2015 season.

Laura also coached the Under 13 Wimmera South Coast side and has enjoyed watching many players from that squad develop to become members of the Ballarat Eureka Strikers senior squad

Assistant Senior Coach – Alyson Pym

Alyson has been a member of the senior squad since joining the then Ballarat Red Devils in 2014. She is currently a playing member of the team.
This is her first season of coaching and is really enjoying seeing both sides of the play and seeing the girls develop.
