This weekend marks Holly Williamson’s 100th appearance for the Ballarat Eureka Strikers.
Holly joined the Ballarat Lady Devils in 2010, having previously played 7 seasons at Forest Rangers in their junior program. After playing for our Under 18 squad in 2010 she was elevated to the seniors the next year.
A natural leader, Holly was first appointed to our leadership group in 2012 and has been a member every season since.
She has received the Most Consistent Award twice, in 2012 and 2013, and won the Player’s Player Award in 2015.
Traditionally, she has played as a Central Defender; however, this season has seen Holly being provided with a new challenge of playing in Central Midfield. As an excellent reader of the play and distributor of the ball, Holly has stepped into the role with relative ease, despite her own initial reservations!
The club extends our warmest congratulations to Holly for reaching this considerable milestone and we look forward to many more games to come!
