About the Strikers
The Ballarat Eureka Strikers is Ballarat’s premier female football (soccer) club. The Club currently competes in State League 1, with a development squad playing in State League 1 Reserves and a youth representative side participating in the Ballarat District Soccer Association open U13 competition.
The Strikers work in close partnership with Football Federation Victoria (FFV) and Ballarat & District Soccer Association (BDSA) to ensure we are utilizing best practices and providing the best opportunities for our players, coaches and supporters.
We aim to provide female football players with the best opportunity to play at the highest level, and we seek to be representative of the region. The Strikers are committed to investing in our Coaches, so they are relaying the best practices and advice to all players, helping us become the best players we can be. The Club also places certain responsibilities on the players, meaning the Club fosters a culture of ‘player run’ activities. We place value on what our players have to say and have a Leadership Team that represents the interests of all players.
The Club also fields exciting projects off the pitch, including social activities such as our annual Anzac Day sleep over and attendance at morning service, team bonding sessions and boot camps, as well as community volunteering. In 2015, the Club was committed to providing youth soccer clinics in Ballarat and the surrounding areas, as well as clinics in association with Pinarc, a local disability support program. The team is committed more than ever to continue to invest in these programs year on year.
If you wish to develop your skills as a player and enjoy a friendly and competitive team, then the Ballarat Eureka Strikers is the team for you! While we train and play with a high level of intensity, you will be rewarded through the friendships you make and the chance to be a part of Ballarat’s leading football Club!
